Testing Officer, Jamaica
The TO is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Testing Centre. The TO will produce reports on the findings from assessments, Kontaks and other projects. S/He will also be involved in proposal writing and conducting interviews.
This position will receive:
- Technical guidance of the Chief Executive Officer
- Administrative supervision from the Solutions Officer
Other Functions of the Testing Officer(TO)
- Assessment Center development which may include:-
- administering written tests, oral exams and in-basket exercises
- developing Assessment Center components
- coordinating/assisting in the development of new assessments
- Interviewing and role playing
- Coordination and administration of exercises and resources
- Performing scoring analysis
- Preparing Reports, Proposals, Handouts and Workbooks
- Providing written and verbal feedback of test results and behavioral observations to customers/ test takers
Administering tests and coordinating functions in support of seminars, Kontaks, or other services provided by the company
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Human Resources Management, or a related field, plus significant experience in the use of tests and assessments applied to hiring and/or vocational protocols
This position requires proficiency in the principles and applications of industrial/organizational psychology as related to assessments
The ability to assess data reflective of the individual’s status and appropriately interpret information relative to the client’s specific needs is required
Exemplary analytical skills
Comprehensive computer skills – Proficiency using SPSS, Excel, testing & surveying software and the MS Suite
A mature attitude and ability to relate to clients in a calm, sensitive, and empathetic manner
Ability to learn quickly, adapt fast, and have a high tolerance threshold
Strong communication and customer service skills
Experience developing and/or administering assessment centers would be an asset

Main responsibilities include:
Organises training programmes and events related to special part-time or job release flexible training models – including processing requests, managing the training calendar, training schedules, organising training rooms, equipment and materials, and maintaining training records and databases.

Assists with the administration of the Civil Service Scholarship programme, as the need arises, and provides assistance to employees with identifying universities and colleges.
