Global leader in the design and manufacture of lighting controls and shading sysyems for residential and commercial architectural building applications requires a Production Manager for their maunufacuring plant on the Island of St. Kitts in the Eastern Caribbean.

The plant is a low tech electro-mechanical assembly operation with approximately 300 non-union direct and contract employees. Depending on level the position will either report to the Plant Manager in St. Kitts or the Business Unit Manager at corporate headquarters in the U.S.

This individual will directly manage 3 Production Supervisors, an Engineering Manager and a Maintenance Manager. Major responsibilities will be to produce quality product in a cost effective and timely manner. Strong preference for a mature individual (management team are in their 50′s) either currently residing and working in the Eastern Caribbean or an individual open to relocating to the island for an extended stay.

Candidates must have the following background to be considered:
* BA or BS Degree (preferably BS EE, ME or IE).
* Minimum 10 years of experience as a Production Leader/Manager in a non-union electrical/electronic assembly or manufacturing operation.
* Experience developing staff and leading cost, quality and delivery objectives.
* Training and experience in process control, quality assurance, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and ISO Certification.
* Strong leader, mentor, trainer with excellent communication skills and ability to gain buy-in at all levels and drive execution of plan.

Project Officer-Travel, Guyana

 Applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified nationals of Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Member States and Associate Members of the Caribbean Community to fill the abovementioned position in the Caribbean Community Secretariat with assigned duty station in Guyana.

FUNCTIONS OF THE POST

Responsible for managing the Travel Desk and making all official travel arrangements, including airline reservations and hotel accommodation. This officer will also facilitate the visa application process where necessary for official travel.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidates should possess at least a Degree in Marketing, Economics, Business Administration or other related area plus 5 years working experience in reservations or marketing in an airline/travel agency at least 2 of which should be post graduate. Good knowledge of airline Computer Reservation Systems and also on-line booking procedures (hotel and airline).

. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the direction of the Programme Manager, Administrative Services, the Project Officer, Travel, will be required to:

1. Travel Itineraries, Hotel Accommodation and Tickets

(a) COLLABORATE with all Programme areas to make travel and accommodation arrangements for staff traveling on official Secretariat business.

(i) Maintain communication link with contact staff, e.g. Administrative Assistants via e-mail, phone etc. to coordinate all travel arrangements.

(b) PROCESS all approved Internal Travel Requisition (ITR) forms for official travel (funded from the CCS Budget or Donor Agencies) to ensure that appropriate arrangements are made for all approved travel.

(i) Ensure that itineraries of staff on official travel are convenient and cost effective and that all travel undertaken is by the most direct route.
