Position Requirements:
• A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar capacity.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive revenue.
• A thorough understanding and working knowledge of menu design, menu pricing, food trends, merchandising and presentation.
• Computer literate (including MS Word and Excel).
• Ability to work flexible shifts including public holidays and weekends.
• A proven track record in coaching, training and staff development.
• A clear understanding and working knowledge of safe food handling techniques including the general principals of HACCP.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Caribbean experience would be an asset’

Event Manager, Curaçao
Prepares all event documentation and coordinates with sales, revenue management, hotel departments and customer to ensure consistent, high level service throughout event planning process of EBC groups and events for participating Courtyard, Residence Inn, Fairfield Inn, SpringHill Suites and TownePlace Suites hotels. Ensures all hotel events have a seamless turnover from sales to service, to the property of the event and, back to sales. Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue opportunities by up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events.
Experience

• Effective sales skills to up-sell products and services
• Knowledge of menu planning, food presentation, and banquet and event service operations

Recreation Manager, St. Vincent
The Recreation Manager will be spearheading the full spectrum of indoor and outdoor sports and recreational activities of the Resort.
The functional area encompasses two beaches, 154m large swimming pool, four tennis courts, running and cycling trail, hiking, sea activities such as hobbycats, island tours, etc, a fitness center and yoga lessons
The Recreation Manager will organize events, tournaments and special activities when needed.
As a Department head, the Recreation Manager will be involved in budgeting, recruiting, evaluating staff performance, training as well as participates in the Resort’s Manager on Duty program.

Leisure Sales Coordinator, Bermuda
The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support, including Administrative duties to the Associate Director of Sales and New York Sales Office as needed.
*Attend MOHG and Virtuoso events and trade functions as needed to promote sales and image for the hotel.
*Assist with manage relationship with American Express Platinum and Virtuoso.
*Network with other key leisure industry influencers, such as airline reps etc.
*Conduct monthly prospecting calls.
*Provide feedback and market information to Associate Director of Sales and Director of Sales & Marketing on changing market conditions, including trends on the competition, as a result of sales activity and interaction with competitive hotel staff.
*Organize and accompany familiarization trips and hotel site inspections for clients and regularly entertain major clients of the hotel.
*Maintain close relationship and communication with Regional Sales Offices to ensure sales objectives are achieved.
*Compile quarterly action plans 2 weeks prior to commencement of the quarter to review with ADOSM at end of quarter, review past quarter’s actions plan and revenue targets and agree next quarter’s revenue targets.
*Answers telephone calls and responds to leisure inquiries using positive and clear English communication. *Comprehends and assist Group Sales coordinator with accurately records messages for distribution to the Sales staff as required.
*Will assist in handling all leisure inquiries involving 1-10 rooms and manage through the entire qualifying and sales process.
*Will assist in handling all Leisure Tour Operator Contracts and Brochure contributions
*Will respond to all New Tour Operator inquiries once contract is assessed
*Will enter all sales calls and site inspections in the month end report format.
*Will obtain and manipulate Travel Click reports
*Will be responsible for the updating and distribution of the Promotion Log
*Will assist in handling the set up of site inspections and FAMS of travel agents to Bermuda
*Will maintain an ongoing calendar of events, leisure functions, and trade shows within the leisure marketing/sales effort
*Will participate in Tour Operator trade shows when necessary which may require travel
*Will interact with Bermuda Department of Tourism and all Tour Operators to provide them with Hotel knowledge and assistance
